— In this study, a new nanoporous magnetic zinc silicate-ZnFe 2 O 4 core-shell composite is synthesized via a two-pot synthesis strategy. The XRD results showed that the composite had a glass (zinc-silicate)-ceramic (ZnFe 2 O 4) structure. Zinc silicate-ZnFe 2 O 4 composite had a mesoporous structure and Ms value is 30 emu g −1.
